The Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer
The Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer is Alastair Kirkwood BSc. MRICS (Dip Rating), IRRV (Hons), AEA. He was appointed Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer on 1 July 2013 and heads a team of approximately 70 staff comprising a mixture of professional, technical, administrative, clerical and information technology support staff.
The organisation has two Divisions, one located in Forfar and the other in Perth. The Assessor, along with Headquarters and IT support staff, are based in the Board’s East Division office in Forfar.
East Division
The East Division office is managed by Assistant Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer Donald Allan MA (Hons) MRICS AEA (Cert-Scotland). East Division covers the Angus and Dundee local authority areas. The office is located in Forfar. The Assistant Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer is supported by two Principal Valuers: Stephen Connor LLB DipLE MRICS responsible for the Angus local authority area and Donald Groves B Com MRICS responsible for the Dundee local authority area.
West Division
The West Division office is managed by Assistant Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer Roy Christie MRICS Dip Surv, AEA(Cert-Scotland), supported by two Principal Valuers: Ian Leitch Bsc (Hons), MBA, MRICS and Linda Williamson MA (Hons) MLE MRICS
